Grand Theft Auto the trilogy definitive edition is nearly upon us and capping off our story recap series is Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. As the third title in the 3D saga, san Andreas holds a special place in many fans'hearts. Releasing two years after GTA Vice City, it featured the largest world in the series to date, with three major locations los Santos, San Fiero and Los Ventura's.

Crowded across the state that was San Andreas. In san andreas there is too much corruption and gang Wars. Unlike its 3D predecessors, though, San Andreas occupied a certain strata of crime, this time focusing on the smaller time gangs that ruled the streets as opposed to Liberty Cities, organized crime and Vice City's businessmen. It was also a time of revenge, of rising up against oppression, of justice in the concrete jungle where law and order took a back seat to extrajudicial murder.

The story begins in 1992 with Carl Johnson, aka CJ, a former member of the Grove Street's families. Carl jhonsons was travel to Liberty City gor five years prior, CJ returns after the death of his mother. This time is very hard for gang. Their rivals, the Balas and the Vegas possess more power and influence, while the highly corrupt community against street, is cracking down on the gangs.

CJ will come back to Los Santos for his mother” funeral. Officers Frank Tenpenny, Eddie Poloski and Jimmy Hernandez. Tenpenny threatens to frame him for the recent murder of Officer Ralph Pendlebury unless CJ cooperates whenever necessary. Afterwards, CJ reunites with his childhood friends melvin Bigsmoke Harris, Lance Ryder Wilson, his sister Kendall, and Sean, aka. Sweet.

Things and talks are not good or friendly between Sweet and Carl. As his older estranged brother Sweet blames CJ for effectively running away from the family. Of course, it's not long before the ballas perform a drive by with the Grove Street family's gang narrowly escaping from there, CJ works to rebuild the family's reputation, performing various odd jobs like drive bys and cleaning up the neighborhood, while also reuniting with former member Jeffrey OG Locke Cross, who's now a rapper. At one point, CJ also investigates Caesar Violpondo and the leader of the various Los Astecas and Kendall's boyfriend on behalf of Sweet.

The two friends become though, and things was like enough for a time. And then attacking Weasel's funeral to take down some of the upper echelon in the Balas, Sweet looks to reunite the three families of Grove Street. Despite the meeting being ambushed by the cops, the Grove Street families look to take back Los Santos, planning a major attack on the Balas. Before this, Caesar meets with CJ and Verdon Bluffs and reveals that the drive by that killed CJ's mother was instead targeted at Sweet. The duo then spot the same vehicle in a garage from which Crash, Big Smoke, Rider and the Balas leave.

Everything falls into this place. Now, Big Smoke and Rider essentially sold out the Grove Street families and worked with Crash and the Balas to eliminate Sweet. Upon arriving at the planned ambush on the Balas, CJ finds Sweet injured and after killing numerous Balas, the two are eventually arrested. Sweet is kept in a prison hospital while CJ is sent to Angel Pine and Wheat Stone by Crash. As long he become friendly with bigsmoke and don’t try to reveng with him, then his brother will be kept safe and sound, along with killing an informant with details on Crash's corruption and keep working with the Flint County hippie CJ also helps to get Caesar and Kendall for leave Los Santos.

At one point, he do some robberies with Catllina from Grand Theft Auto 3 during some races where he meets Woozy Moo of the Mountain Cloud Boys, which is part of the Triad in San Fiero. C J even beats Claude, GTA 3 protagonist, thus winning the deed to a garage. Claude and Catalina leave for Liberty City. Definately, the works from Crash keep on coming in, from outlining a head prosecutor exploring Tenpenny's unit to following and killing a correspondent alongside a columnist.

After helping Wu Zimu and the Triad in a gang war, CJ sees Ryder meeting with Loco Syndicate's leaders, namely TBone, Mendez, Mike Torino and Jizzy B. CJ starts taking on missions from the Syndicate, first killing Jizzy and then ambushing a meeting between the Balas and the Syndicate. TBone and Rider are killed along with Torino, or so it seems. While the destroy the syndicate's drug factory, the garage continues to prosper, but one day CJ receives a call from a mysterious individual asked to meet in Tiara Rabada.He finds that it's Mike Torino, alive and really an government agent

Sweet in Prison

Turns out that Ralph Pendleberry, whose murder CJ was threatened with, was actually killed through Tenpenny's orders. Sweet is currently safe in prison and in exchange for his freedom, Torino wants CJ to perform what else but some below the table tasks for him. This leads to him purchasing an airstrip in the desert and receiving a jet pack from The Truth for a mission which he gets to keep. Woozy Mu also gets in touch with CJ with the city, but business isn't exactly booming. While preparations, Carl’s rescues members of the band, in which Kent Paul as the manager are inclueded.

Ken Rosenberg from GTA Vice City also appears. War eventually breaks out between the three families, and CJ eventually works with Salvador Leon, who seeks to control more of Caligulas. This involves killing numerous Hitmen and then traveling to Liberty City to kill Marco Farrelli, the dawn of the Farrelli family, who took over after Sonny's death in 1986. Naturally, after gaining Salvatore's approval Caligulas is prime for robbing. Once the heist is done, the mob becomes weaker, the triads take over, and CJ works as Woozy Moo's business partner in the endeavor. Just when things seem to be going right, crash comes calling after CJ kills an FBI agent for a dossier he's subsequently betrayed by Tenpenny in the desert.

Polaski is tasked with killing him and Hernandez, who informed Internal Affairs of Tenpenny's dealings, but the latter saved CJ at the cost of his own life. CJ. kill Polaski, but he returns to Los Santos with Kendall and Caesar. He's roped in to be rapper Mad Dogs manager, which is hilarious given how CJ ruined his career to go help OG Locke, and then ultimately saved him from committing suicide due to CJ ruining his career. After helping Kent and Rosenberg fake their deaths during the mob wars, they're subsequently called in to help Mad Dog. Torino has one last job for CJ, destroying some spyships with a stolen military jet, and afterwards he has Sweet released from prison.

Sweet got free from prison

Sweet isn't too keen on CJ's success, and they soon reform the Grove Street families, aiming to liberate their territory from the Balas. As a greater amount of their domain is recovered, the chase is on for Big Smoke. Tenpenny goes on trial, but lack of evidence results in his acquittal, thus leading to riots in the city. CJ and his crew continue capturing territory from rival gangs and eventually locate Big Smoke, who hold up in his den in East Los Angeles.

Big Smoke Death

CJ leave it alone, at last he meet with Big Smoke. Subsequent to being shot, smoke admits that he did everything for cash, while CJ, who attempted to dissuade him ahead of time, calls his passing a waste. Tenpenny arrives shortly after and demands his share of Smoke's money in order to escape from Los Santos. CJ survives a subsequent attack, while Tenpenny tries to escape in a stolen fire truck. Sweet hangs from the truck's ladder before being rescued by CJ, and the two pursue Tenpenny in a car as chaos erupts throughout Los Angeles. Eventually, the fire truck crashes near Grove Street and Tenpenny dies.

When this stage end, his loved ones celebrate and Mad Dog talks about going on a world tour. CJ seeks to get out onto Grove Street and see what's happening. It's a happy ending, except we never really hear from Carl ever again. Perhaps we'll see him again someday, somewhere.
